By default this page displays all the English Preferred Terms (PTs) and Use For (UF) terms arranged alphabetically.
You can change the language and/or choose to view Preferred Terms or Use For terms only by selecting the appropriate filters on the left-hand side menu and pressing 'Refine'.
You can also change the order in which the terms are displayed by using the drop-down box on the right-hand side of the page.
Change the tab to 'Tree view' to see an expandable list of all the hierarchies in ELSST.
To search ELSST, from the home page, select a language of your choice and enter a search query into the Thesaurus search box on the right hand side of the home page, and press GO.
Alternatively, click on the 'ELSST search' link on the top navigation bar of any page. This will take you to the 'Thesaurus search' page, where you can enter your query into the search box and press GO.
Search results are also displayed on the 'Thesaurus search' page. All terms that match the search query are returned, including partial matches.
If the term is available in another language, an icon for that language appears on the right hand side of the term. Hover over the language icon to see the translation of the term in that language.
You can change the order in which the search results are displayed by using the drop-down box under the search box.
The Help button underneath the search box provides guidance on how to formulate search queries and sort results.
